10-Min Overnight Oats Meal Prep

10-Min Overnight Oats Meal Prep

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (not quick or steel-cut)
  • 2 cups Milk of choice (almond, soy, oat, or dairy)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 2 tablespoons Chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Optional: Fresh fruit, nuts, or seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Gather four wide-mouth mason jars or airtight containers. Ensure they are clean and dry. Line up your ingredients on the counter to make the assembly process move quickly. Measuring everything out beforehand ensures you maintain the perfect ratio of liquid to oats.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is smooth and combined. Stir in the rolled oats and chia seeds. Use a spatula to fold the mixture until every oat is submerged. Alternatively, you can divide the dry ingredients into the jars first and then pour the liquid mixture over them, stirring each jar individually.
  3. Seal the jars with their lids and place them in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, or ideally overnight. During this time, the oats and chia seeds will absorb the liquid and soften. In the morning, give the oats a quick stir. If they are too thick for your liking, add a splash of extra milk. Add your favorite fresh toppings like sliced bananas, berries, or a drizzle of nut butter right before eating.
