5 Minute High Protein Breakfast Sliders Make Ahead Kids Easy No Fail

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Diet: High-Protein

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 large eggs, scrambled and cooked (or sheet-pan style)
  • 12 slices of pre-cooked turkey sausage patties or Canadian bacon
  • 6 slices of sharp cheddar cheese (cut into quarters) or 1.5 cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Use a large serrated knife to slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the individual rolls connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls into a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish. This creates a solid base for your protein layers.
  2. Layer the cooked turkey sausage or Canadian bacon across the bottom half of the rolls. Place your pre-scrambled eggs evenly over the meat. Top the egg layer with the cheese slices or shredded cheese, ensuring every inch is covered for maximum meltiness. Place the top half of the rolls back on. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and garlic powder, then brush it generously over the tops of the rolls.
  3. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent the tops from browning too quickly. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the tops are slightly golden and crisp. Use a knife to slice through the pre-cut lines of the rolls. Serve immediately or let them cool to package for later.
