5 Minute High Protein Peanut Butter Overnight Oats Make Ahead Weight Loss

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: High Protein, Weight Loss, Gluten-Free Option, Vegan Option

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (GF certified if necessary)
  • 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder (or 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or stevia (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Take a wide-mouth mason jar or a sealable container. Add the rolled oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together with a fork to ensure the protein powder is distributed evenly, which prevents clumping once you add the liquid.
  2. Pour in the milk and vanilla extract. Add the peanut butter and your sweetener of choice. If you prefer a marbled effect, leave the peanut butter in a dollop; if you want a uniform flavor, stir vigorously until the peanut butter incorporates into the milk mixture.
  3. Stir everything one last time, making sure to scrape the bottom of the jar so no dry oats are left behind. Secure the lid tightly on the jar. If you are using a jar with a tight seal, you can give it a vigorous shake to ensure everything is perfectly combined.
  4. Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though overnight (8 hours) is ideal for the best texture. During this time, the oats and chia seeds soak up the liquid, creating a thick, pudding-like consistency. In the morning, grab the jar, add a splash of extra milk if it’s too thick, and enjoy!
