Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
- 1 lb Large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail on)
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken wings and shrimp completely dry with paper towels. This is the secret to achieving that golden, crispy texture. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mixture first until they are fully coated. Set the shrimp aside in a separate small bowl and toss them with a small portion of the same seasoning blend, as they require less cooking time than the wings.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap. Air fry the wings for 12 minutes, then flip them using tongs. After flipping the wings, add the shrimp to the basket, fitting them into the gaps between the wings. Cook everything together for an additional 6 to 8 minutes. The wings should be crispy and reach an internal temperature of 165°F, while the shrimp should be opaque and curled into a “C” shape.
- Transfer the crispy wings and shrimp to a large serving platter. Garnish immediately with freshly chopped parsley to add a pop of color and freshness. Serve the dish warm with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp. You can pair this duo with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, buffalo sauce, or a garlic butter dip to complete the meal.
