Ingredients
Scale
- 4 ears of fresh corn, husks and silk removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for color)
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Start by shucking your corn and removing all the sticky silk threads. Rinse the cobs under cold water and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Drying them is essential for getting that crispy, golden finish. In a small bowl, mix your olive oil (or melted butter) with salt, pepper, and paprika. Brush this mixture generously over every inch of each corn cob until they are well-coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Place the seasoned corn cobs into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they are not overlapping so the air can circulate freely. Air fry the corn for 12 to 15 minutes. About halfway through the cooking time, open the basket and use tongs to rotate the cobs. This ensures they get an even, golden-brown char on all sides.
- Once the corn is tender and the kernels are slightly blistered and golden, carefully remove them from the air fryer. Transfer the cobs to a serving platter. If desired, brush on a tiny bit more butter while they are piping hot. Sprinkle with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro and serve immediately while they are at their peak crispness.
- Cook Time: 17 minutes
