Air Fryer Cottage Cheese Bites 20g+ High Protein Easy Breakfast

Air Fryer Cottage Cheese Bites 20g+ High Protein Easy Breakfast

  • Total Time: 17 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian, Low-Carb, High-Protein

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons oat flour (or almond flour for low-carb)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning or chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, egg, and flour. Stir until the mixture is well-incorporated. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can pulse these ingredients in a blender for 10 seconds before moving to the bowl. Fold in the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Line your air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper to prevent sticking, or lightly grease it with avocado oil spray.
  2. Use a small cookie scoop or a tablespoon to drop mounds of the mixture onto the parchment paper in the air fryer basket. Ensure you leave at least an inch of space between each bite to allow the hot air to circulate. Sprinkle the tops with everything bagel seasoning if desired. Slide the basket into the air fryer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes. At the halfway mark, check the bites; they should be firming up and turning a light golden brown. They are done when the edges are crispy and the centers are set.
  3. Carefully remove the bites from the air fryer using a spatula or tongs. Let them rest for two minutes on a cooling rack; this allows the cheese to set so they don’t fall apart. Serve them warm with a side of salsa, Greek yogurt dip, or even a drizzle of hot honey. These are perfect for eating on the go or as part of a larger brunch spread alongside fresh fruit.
