Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs Chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
- 1 tablespoon Avocado oil or olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- Optional: 2 tablespoons Honey or Maple syrup (for a sweet-savory dessert twist)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is the most important step for achieving maximum crispiness. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with the oil until they are lightly coated. In a small ramekin, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the chicken and toss again to ensure every piece is evenly coated. Pre-heat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; air needs to circulate around each wing to make it crispy. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes. Open the basket and use tongs to flip each wing. Cook for another 8 to 10 minutes. If you prefer them extra “Golden Perfect,” add another 2 minutes of cook time. If you are going for a sweet snack style, drizzle the honey or maple syrup over the wings during the last 2 minutes of cooking to let it caramelize.
- Carefully remove the wings from the air fryer and let them rest for 2 to 3 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring the meat stays tender. Arrange them on a serving platter and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve them hot alongside your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or a spicy buffalo sauce for a complete dinner or a quick snack.
