Air Fryer Desserts Potatoes Crispy Easy Healthy Fast Dinners Snacks Wings Golden Perfect

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes (cubed or sliced into fries)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil or Avocado oil
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • Optional: Cinnamon and sugar (for dessert variations)
  • Optional: 1 lb Chicken wings (if adapting for a savory snack)

Instructions

  1. Start by washing your potatoes thoroughly. Peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on adds extra nutrients and a rustic texture. Cut the potatoes into uniform 1/2-inch cubes or fries to ensure they cook evenly. Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch. This is the secret to achieving that ultra-crispy exterior. After soaking, pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. In a large mixing bowl, toss the dried potatoes with your oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until every piece is well-coated. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer; do not overcrowd them. Cook for 18 to 20 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, pull out the basket and give it a good shake to redistribute the potatoes. This ensures every side turns golden and perfect.
  3. Once the timer goes off and the potatoes are deep golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer immediately. Taste and add an extra pinch of salt if needed while they are still hot. Transfer them to a serving platter. Serve immediately alongside your favorite dipping sauces like spicy mayo, ketchup, or a yogurt-based herb dip for a healthy snack or a side to your main dinner.
