Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Sirloin steak or Ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil or Avocado oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
- Optional dipping sauce: Garlic butter or sugar-free BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Start by patting the beef cubes dry with a paper towel. Removing excess moisture is the most important step for achieving that golden, crispy exterior. In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef cubes, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until every piece of beef is evenly coated in the oil and seasonings. Let the meat sit for 5 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Place the seasoned beef cubes into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket, as air needs to circulate around each piece to create a crisp finish. Set the timer for 8 to 10 minutes. At the halfway mark (around 5 minutes), remove the basket and give it a good shake to ensure even browning. For a medium-rare finish, aim for 8 minutes; for a more well-done, extra-crispy exterior, go for the full 10 minutes.
- Once the beef is golden and crispy, remove it from the air fryer immediately to prevent overcooking. Let the beef rest for 2 to 3 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Transfer the bites to a serving platter or individual plates. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve these as a main dinner dish with roasted vegetables, or put out toothpicks and a side of dipping sauce to enjoy them as a high-protein snack.
