Air Fryer Healthy Recipes Potatoes Easy Fast Crispy Dinners Snacks Wings Desserts Golden

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs Yukon Gold or Red potatoes (scrubbed and cleaned)
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by washing your potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them completely dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels; removing moisture is the secret to maximum crispiness. Cut the potatoes into uniform 1-inch cubes so they cook at the same rate. Place the cubes into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes and sprinkle in the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until every single piece of potato is evenly coated in oil and spices.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Once hot, place the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket. Try to keep them in a single layer to allow for optimal airflow. Set the timer for 20 minutes. Halfway through the cooking process (at the 10-minute mark), remove the basket and give it a vigorous shake. This ensures that all sides of the potatoes make contact with the heating elements, resulting in that perfect golden-brown finish.
  3. Check the potatoes at the 18-minute mark to ensure they are reaching your desired level of crispiness. Once they are fork-tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside, remove them from the air fryer. Transfer the potatoes to a serving bowl or plate while they are still steaming hot. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley if you want a pop of color and a fresh herbal note. Serve immediately while the exterior is at its peak crunch.
