Ingredients
Scale
- 2 Fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil or avocado oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 Lemon (sliced into wedges)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Drizzle the olive oil over the flesh side of the salmon. In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the seasoning blend evenly over the fillets, ensuring every inch is covered for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes. Even though some models don’t require preheating, doing so ensures the salmon starts cooking the moment it hits the basket, which helps create a golden exterior.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down. Ensure there is space between the fillets so the air can circulate freely. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. The salmon is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F or flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully remove the salmon from the basket using a spatula. Let it rest for 2 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges and a sprinkle of parsley.
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
