Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Pork Tenderloin or Boneless Pork Chops, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- Cooking spray for the basket
Instructions
- Start by patting the pork cubes dry with a paper towel. Removing excess moisture is the secret to achieving that “crispy” exterior. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork cubes with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano. Toss everything together until every piece of pork is evenly coated in the spice mixture. Let the meat sit for five minutes while you preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with a quick spray of oil. Place the seasoned pork cubes into the basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket, as air needs to circulate around each piece to make it golden and perfect. Set the timer for 12 to 15 minutes. At the halfway mark (about 7 minutes), remove the basket and give it a vigorous shake. This ensures the pork browns evenly on all sides. Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the outside is dark golden brown.
- Carefully remove the pork bites from the air fryer and let them rest for two to three minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring the meat stays tender inside while the outside remains crunchy. Serve these snacks on a platter with your favorite dipping sauces, such as sugar-free BBQ sauce, spicy ranch, or a honey mustard glaze. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions for a professional touch.
