Breakfast Bowls Berry Weight Loss Healthy Easy Beautiful Delicious Ready Minutes Overnight Oats

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: Gluten-Free, Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a glass jar or a small bowl, add the rolled oats, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Pour in the almond milk, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and your sweetener of choice. Stir the mixture vigorously with a spoon until all the ingredients are well combined and there are no dry oat clumps remaining.
  2. Gently fold in half of your berries. If you are using large strawberries, slice them into bite-sized pieces first. The juices from the berries will begin to infuse into the oat mixture overnight, creating a natural sweetness and a beautiful color throughout the bowl.
  3. Seal the jar with a lid or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, though overnight is best. During this time, the oats and chia seeds will soak up the liquid, expanding into a creamy, pudding-like consistency. In the morning, top with the remaining fresh berries and enjoy straight from the jar or transfer to a beautiful bowl.
