Dump And Bake Sheet Pan Pancakes With Sprinkles Birthday

Dump And Bake Sheet Pan Pancakes With Sprinkles Birthday

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (jimmies work best)
  • Extra sprinkles for topping
  • Maple syrup and whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Generously grease an 18×13 inch rimmed sheet pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray. You can also line the bottom with parchment paper for even easier removal. Ensure the oven is fully preheated before you start mixing your batter to get the best rise.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate medium bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined. A few small lumps are perfectly fine; overmixing will make the pancakes tough. Fold in the 1/2 cup of sprinkles quickly.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and spread it into an even layer using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon. Scatter a few extra sprinkles over the top for a vibrant look. Place the pan in the center rack of the oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for 2 to 3 minutes. This makes the pancakes easier to cut. Use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to slice the sheet into 12 rectangular servings. Lift the pieces out with a spatula. Serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream, a drizzle of maple syrup, and perhaps even more sprinkles for the birthday star!
