Game Day Cottage Cheese Crockpot High Protein Feeds Crowd Budget Under $20 No Prep

  • Total Time: 3 hours 5 minutes
  • Diet: Keto-friendly, Low-Carb

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (12.5 oz each) premium chunk white chicken breast, drained
  • 2 cups low-fat cottage cheese (blended for a smoother texture)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo hot sauce (adjust to heat preference)
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)
  • Optional: Celery sticks and carrot chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned chicken thoroughly to ensure the dip does not become watery. If you prefer a completely smooth texture, place the cottage cheese in a blender or food processor and pulse until creamy. If you like a bit of texture, you can leave the cottage cheese as is. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a crockpot liner for the easiest cleanup imaginable.
  2. Add the drained chicken, cottage cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch seasoning into the slow cooker. Stir everything together until the chicken is well-coated. Sprinkle one cup of the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, but do not stir it in yet. Cover the crockpot and cook on Low for 2 to 3 hours, or on High for 1 hour if you are in a rush. You are looking for the cheese to be bubbly and the mixture to be heated through.
  3. Once the cooking time is up, give the dip a gentle stir to incorporate that melted cheddar. Sprinkle the remaining half cup of cheese on top and let it melt for another 5 minutes with the lid on. Garnish with fresh green onions. Serve directly from the crockpot to keep the dip warm and gooey throughout the entire game. Pair it with fresh vegetables or whole-grain crackers for a complete, high-protein snack experience.
