Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 frozen banana (for creaminess)
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or stevia (optional)
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds or chia seeds (optional for extra fiber)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preparation
Gather all your ingredients and ensure your banana is pre-frozen for the best texture. Measure out the pumpkin puree and the almond milk. If you are using flaxseeds or chia seeds, have them ready to toss in for an extra nutritional boost. - Step 2: Blending
Place the almond milk into the blender first to prevent the protein powder from sticking to the bottom. Add the pumpkin puree, frozen banana, vanilla protein powder, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and sweetener. Top it off with the ice cubes. Blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. - Step 3: Plating
Pour the smoothie into a tall glass. If you want to be extra festive, garnish the top with a light sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of extra pumpkin pie spice. Serve immediately while it is cold and thick.
