High Protein Berry Smoothie Bowl Thick Creamy Weight Loss Healthy Meal Prep Granola

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Diet: High Protein, Weight Loss, Healthy

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla whey or plant-based protein powder
  • 1/2 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or liquid of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup healthy low-sugar granola
  • Optional: 5-6 drops of liquid stevia or a teaspoon of honey for extra sweetness

Instructions

  1. Preparation: Gather all your ingredients and ensure your berries are completely frozen. Frozen fruit is the secret to achieving that signature thick, spoonable texture. If you are using a standard blender, keep your liquid close by, but do not pour it all in at once. Measure out your protein powder and Greek yogurt so they are ready for the mix.
  2. Blending: Place the frozen berries, Greek yogurt, protein powder, and chia seeds into a high-speed blender. Pour in half of the almond milk. Start the blender on a low speed and use the tamper tool to push the frozen fruit down toward the blades. Slowly increase the speed. If the mixture is too thick to move, add the remaining almond milk one tablespoon at a time. Blend until the mixture is perfectly smooth and creamy, which usually takes about 60 to 90 seconds.
  3. Plating: Transfer the thick smoothie base into a chilled bowl. Use the back of a spoon to smooth out the surface. Top the bowl with your pre-made healthy granola. You can also add a few fresh berry garnishes or a sprinkle of extra chia seeds if desired. Eat immediately with a spoon to enjoy the frozen, creamy texture before it begins to melt.
