Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned)
- 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1 scoop (approx. 20g) vanilla or chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds or nut butter
Instructions
- In a mason jar or a medium-sized bowl, add the rolled oats, protein powder, and chia seeds. Stir these dry ingredients together first to ensure the protein powder doesn’t clump. Pour in the milk and Greek yogurt. Use a spoon to mix everything thoroughly until the protein powder is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Taste the mixture and add your maple syrup or honey if you prefer a sweeter base. Stir one last time. Seal the jar with a lid or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though letting it soak overnight produces the best, creamiest texture.
- In the morning, remove the bowl from the fridge. The oats and chia seeds will have absorbed the liquid, creating a thick, pudding-like consistency. If it is too thick, splash in a little extra milk. Arrange your fresh berries and nuts on top in a beautiful pattern. Dig in and enjoy your high-protein start to the day!
