Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup low-fat or 2% cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 3–4 ice cubes (if using fresh fruit)
Instructions
- Measure out all your ingredients to ensure a smooth workflow. If you are using this for meal prep, you can place the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, berries, and chia seeds into a container or freezer bag ahead of time. This makes your morning routine even faster as you only need to dump and blend.
- Add the almond milk to the blender first to prevent the dry or thick ingredients from sticking to the bottom. Follow with the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, frozen berries, chia seeds, and vanilla. Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds. Continue blending until the mixture is completely smooth and the cottage cheese curds have vanished into a creamy consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into a large glass or a portable tumbler. If you are enjoying this as a meal replacement for dinner, pour it into a bowl and top with a few extra berries or a sprinkle of granola for added texture. Serve immediately while chilled for the best flavor and consistency.
- Cook Time: 5 minutes
