High Protein Overnight Oats Cottage Cheese 30g

High Protein Overnight Oats Cottage Cheese 30g

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: High Protein, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free Option

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (certified gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/2 cup Low-fat or Full-fat Cottage Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup or Honey (or stevia for a low-sugar option)
  • A pinch of Sea Salt
  • Optional: Fresh berries, sliced almonds, or a dash of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Blend or Mix the Base
For a smooth, creamy texture, place the cottage cheese, milk, vanilla extract, and sweetener into a blender. Pulse until the mixture is completely smooth and resembles a thin yogurt. If you prefer a chunkier texture with visible curds, simply whisk these ingredients together in a small bowl or wide-mouth mason jar.
  2. Step 2: Combine with Dry Ingredients
Add the rolled oats, chia seeds, and sea salt into your mason jar or airtight container. Pour the cottage cheese mixture over the oats. Use a spoon to stir everything thoroughly, ensuring no dry pockets of oats remain at the bottom of the jar. The chia seeds will help thicken the mixture as it sits.
  3. Step 3: Refrigerate and Set
Seal the container with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though overnight is best for the softest texture. This allows the oats to absorb the liquid and the flavors to meld together into a rich, pudding-like consistency.
  4. Step 4: Garnish and Serve
In the morning, give the oats a quick stir. If the mixture is too thick, splash in a little extra milk to loosen it up. Top with your favorite fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds right before eating to maintain a variety of textures.
  • Cook Time: 5 minutes (plus 4 hours or overnight soaking)
