High Protein Overnight Oats Peanut Butter 20g+ Easy 5 Minute Breakfast

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: High-Protein

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla or chocolate whey or plant-based protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Combine Dry Ingredients Find a glass jar or a sealable container. Add the rolled oats, protein powder, chia seeds, and a pinch of sea salt into the jar. Use a spoon to whisk the dry ingredients together until the protein powder is evenly distributed. This prevents the powder from clumping once you add the liquid.
  2. Step 2: Incorporate Wet Ingredients Pour in the almond milk, Greek yogurt, and your choice of sweetener. Add the tablespoon of peanut butter into the mix. Stir vigorously until everything is well-combined and no dry pockets of protein powder remain. The mixture should look slightly liquidy, as the oats and chia seeds will soak up the moisture overnight.
  3. Step 3: Chill and Set Seal the lid tightly on your container. Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, though leaving it overnight is best for the creamiest texture. In the morning, give the oats a quick stir. If the mixture is too thick, splash in a little extra milk. Top with extra peanut butter or fresh fruit and enjoy cold.
