High Protein Shake Breakfast 30g+ Easy Meal Prep Low Carb Cottage Cheese

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: Low-Carb, Keto

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey or casein protein powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or water)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds for extra fiber
  • Optional: Liquid stevia or monk fruit sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preparation Gather all your ingredients and equipment. Ensure your cottage cheese is cold, as this helps achieve a thicker, frostier texture. Measure out the almond milk, protein powder, and cottage cheese according to the list. If you are meal prepping, you can portion the cottage cheese and protein powder into individual containers the night before.
  2. Step 2: Blending Add the liquid almond milk to the blender first to prevent the powder from sticking to the bottom. Add the cottage cheese, protein powder, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Finally, add the ice on top. Pulse a few times to break up the ice, then blend on high speed for 45 to 60 seconds. You want to blend long enough to completely pulverize the cottage cheese curds until the mixture is silky smooth.
  3. Step 3: Plating Pour the shake into a tall glass or a portable shaker bottle if you are on the go. If the shake is too thick, add a splash more almond milk and pulse again. If you prefer it thicker, add a few more ice cubes. Garnish with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon or a few hemp hearts for a professional look and extra nutrition.
