Overnight Oats Meal Prep Easy Healthy 5 Minute Breakfast

Overnight Oats Meal Prep Easy Healthy 5 Minute Breakfast

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Diet: Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, soy, or dairy)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, sliced banana, nut butter, or granola

Instructions

  1. Grab a 16-ounce mason jar or any airtight container. Pour in your rolled oats, chia seeds, and a tiny pinch of salt. Using a spoon, give these dry ingredients a quick stir to ensure the chia seeds are evenly distributed. This prevents the seeds from clumping together once you add the liquid.
  2. Pour your chosen milk over the oat mixture. Add the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and your preferred liquid sweetener. If you prefer a thinner consistency, you can add an extra splash of milk. Use a spoon to stir everything vigorously until the yogurt is fully incorporated and no dry pockets of oats remain at the bottom of the jar.
  3. Tighten the lid on your container and place it in the refrigerator. Let the oats soak for at least 4 hours, though leaving them overnight is best for the softest texture. In the morning, give the oats one final stir. If the mixture is too thick, stir in another tablespoon of milk. Add your favorite fresh toppings right before eating to maintain their crunch and freshness.
