Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pre-made pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 box (7.25 oz) of your favorite macaroni and cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6–8 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced thin)
- 1 small can of sliced black olives
- Optional: Dried oregano or garlic powder for seasoning the crust
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet or pizza stone. Roll out the pizza dough into a large circle or rectangle, depending on your preference. Use your fingers to create a slightly raised edge for the crust. If you like extra flavor, brush the edges with a little olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- While the oven is heating, boil a pot of water and cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Stir in the butter, milk, and cheese powder until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Set it aside for a moment while you prep the pizza base.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving the edges clear. Evenly spread the prepared macaroni and cheese over the sauce. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese across the top of the macaroni. This helps bind everything together as it bakes.
- Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter or a paring knife to cut ghost shapes out of the mozzarella slices. Place these mozzarella ghosts randomly on top of the macaroni and cheese layer. Take small pieces of sliced black olives and place two on each ghost to create the “eyes.”
- Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the ghosts have just started to melt but still retain their shape. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before slicing. This resting time ensures the mac and cheese stays on the pizza when you cut it!
- Cook Time: 35 minutes
