Ingredients

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup Amaretto liqueur

1 cup crushed almonds (or almond flour for a smoother texture)

Cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the heavy cream and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Do not let it boil.

Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Amaretto liqueur until fully combined. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to handle.

Using a melon baller or your hands, scoop out small amounts of the chilled chocolate mixture and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in diameter).

Roll each truffle in crushed almonds or almond flour, then dust with cocoa powder to finish. Place the finished truffles on a parchment-lined plate or tray.

Refrigerate the truffles again for about 30 minutes to set before serving. Enjoy your delicious Amaretto truffles!
