Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on for best flavor
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for coating
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder adds flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder adds depth
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika for a smoky taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper for seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the spice mixture.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin side up.
  • Cook the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip them over and brush with BBQ sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
