Air Fryer Crispy Tofu Bites

Deliciously crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air fryer tofu bites are a perfect snack or addition to any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 14 ounces extra-firm tofu pressed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce for marinating
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for crispiness
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder for seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder for seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Begin by pressing the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  • Once pressed, cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  • In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss gently until all pieces are coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the tofu bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry the tofu at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once crispy and golden, remove from the air fryer and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding your favorite spices to the marinade. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
