Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast (boneless, skinless)

2 tbsp blackening seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

1 tbsp olive oil

6 slider buns

1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

1 medium tomato, sliced

½ cup Alabama white sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Pickles (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Prepare Chicken: Begin by patting the chicken breasts dry. Rub the blackening seasoning evenly over both sides of each chicken breast, ensuring they are well coated.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it's shimmering hot.

Cook Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until a blackened crust forms. Flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest the Chicken: Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes.

Slice Chicken: After resting, slice the chicken breasts into thin strips suitable for sliders.

Prepare Buns: Lightly toast the slider buns in the same skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Assemble Sliders: Spread a generous tablespoon of Alabama white sauce on the bottom half of each slider bun. Layer on a few slices of the blackened chicken, top with shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato. Add pickles if desired, and finish with the top half of the bun.

Serve: Serve the sliders warm with extra Alabama white sauce on the side for dipping.
