Ingredients

1 round Brie cheese (about 8 oz)

1 small round bread loaf (sourdough or artisan bread)

1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves (plus a sprig for garnish)

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: assorted crackers and sliced veggies for serving

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the bread bowl: Carefully cut the top off the round bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving about an inch of bread along the sides and bottom. Make sure to not cut too deep, as you want to keep the structure intact. Reserve the removed bread pieces for serving.

Prepare the Brie: Place the round of Brie cheese in the hollowed-out bread bowl. Drizzle honey over the top and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh thyme leaves.

Fill with cranberry sauce: Spoon the cranberry sauce generously over the Brie, ensuring it covers the cheese entirely.

Drizzle with olive oil: Lightly drizzle the inside of the bread bowl and the top with more olive oil to enhance the crust's texture when baked.

Bake the creation: Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the Brie is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden brown.

Garnish: Once baked, remove from the oven. Let it sit for a few minutes, then sprinkle with a fresh thyme sprig to garnish.

Serve: Use the reserved bread pieces, crackers, and sliced veggies for dipping into the melted Brie and cranberry sauce.

Enjoy your dish warm for an impressive appetizer or party treat!
