Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons honey (optional, for sweetness)

Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden, soak them in water for 30 minutes before use)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Toss to coat the chicken evenly. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for best flavor.

Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill. If using metal skewers, just make sure they're clean and ready for use.

Assemble the Bites: Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

Grill the Chicken: Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for about 7-10 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. Brush the chicken with barbecue sauce during the last few minutes of cooking to glaze the bites.

Add Sweetness (Optional): If you prefer a sweeter glaze, mix the remaining barbecue sauce with honey and brush over the chicken bites just before removing them from the grill.

Serve: Remove the chicken bites from the skewers and place them on a serving plate. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for presentation. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side for dipping.
