Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

½ cup chicken broth

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.

Sear the Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side.

Add Garlic and Butter: Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet. As the butter melts, spoon it over the pork chops. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).

Create a Sauce: Once done, remove the chops from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Serve: Place the pork chops on individual plates, drizzle with the garlic butter sauce from the skillet, and sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish. Pair with your favorite veggies or a side of mashed potatoes.
