1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, melted

2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup (130g) all-purpose flour

1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup (240g) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar

1 cup (150g) fresh blackberries

Additional blackberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

    Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a large bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.

      Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

        Prepare the Cream Cheese Swirl: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.

          Layer the Brownies: Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly. Dollop half of the cream cheese mixture over the top, and then drop in a few blackberries. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese and blackberries gently into the brownie batter.

            Add Remaining Layers: Pour the remaining brownie batter on top. Repeat with the rest of the cream cheese mixture and blackberries, swirling again gently to create a marble effect.

              Bake the Brownies: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (it should not be completely clean).

                Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes. Cut into squares and garnish with additional blackberries if desired.
