To achieve the perfect balance of flavors in your Brazilian lemonade, it’s essential to consider the amount of water you add. After blending the limes, sugar, and ice, you’ll need to strain the mixture to extract the juice, which will provide a concentrated flavor base. At this point, you can gradually add water to dilute the lemonade to your preferred level of intensity.

Ingredients

4 medium-sized limes (if unavailable, use lemons)

1 cup of sugar (adjust according to taste)

6 cups of cold water

1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk (optional for creaminess)

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Limes: Wash the limes thoroughly and cut them into quarters. You can leave the skin on, as it adds a unique flavor to the drink.

Blend the Mixture: In a blender, combine the cut limes, sugar, and 2 cups of cold water. Blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until the limes are well pulverized.

Strain the Mixture: Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the blended mixture into a large pitcher. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to press and extract as much liquid as possible (discard the solids).

Add More Water: Pour in the remaining 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well. If you prefer a creamier texture, slowly mix in the sweetened condensed milk until fully incorporated.

Serve Cold: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the refreshing lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves for an added touch.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your Brazilian lemonade!
