Ingredients

2 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed and finely chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

Prepare the Broccoli: Steam the broccoli florets until tender (about 4-5 minutes). Allow them to cool slightly, then chop finely.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Form Patties: With your hands, take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a patty, about 2 inches in diameter. Repeat this with the remaining mixture until you have formed all patties.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium heat.

Cook the Patties: Place the patties in the skillet (do not overcrowd). Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Serve: Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm with a side of your favorite dipping sauce or a fresh salad.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4-6 patties
