Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Optional: 1 cup white chocolate chips (for extra sweetness)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in Pecans and Optional Chips: Gently fold the toasted pecans into the dough. If using, add the white chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look soft but will firm up as they cool.

Cool Down: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve and Enjoy: Once cooled, these cookies are ready to be enjoyed! Perfect for holiday parties or as a sweet treat to share with loved ones.
