Ingredients

For the Cabbage Pie:

1 medium head of green cabbage, shredded

1 large onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

For the Dill Cream Sauce:

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

      Prepare the Cabbage Filling:

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and shredded cabbage, cooking until the cabbage is soft and wilted, around 8-10 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

          Mix the Filling:

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and eggs. Stir in the cooled cabbage mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.

              Assemble the Pie:

Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the cabbage filling into the crust, spreading it evenly. Smooth the top with a spatula.

                  Bake the Pie:

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is set. Remove from oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

                      Prepare the Dill Cream Sauce:

In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, heavy cream, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

                          Serve:

Slice the Cabbage Pie and serve warm drizzled with the Dill Cream Sauce. Garnish with extra dill if desired.
