Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons chai tea leaves or bags
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey adjust to taste
  • 1 cup milk or dairy alternative for creaminess
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for extra spice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated or powdered
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom for a fragrant hint
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the chai tea leaves or bags and spices (cinnamon, ginger, cardamom).
  • Reduce heat and let the tea simmer for about 15 minutes to develop the flavors. Strain the tea into a bowl and stir in sugar or honey to taste.
  • Let the tea cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until cold.
  • Once chilled, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled chai tea over the ice, and top with milk. Stir well before serving.
