12 mozzarella sticks

12 slices of thin bacon

1 cup of all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup of breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp salt

Cooking spray or oil for frying

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Prep the Mozzarella Sticks: Freeze the mozzarella sticks for about 30 minutes to ensure they hold their shape while cooking.

    Wrap with Bacon: Once frozen, take a mozzarella stick and wrap a slice of bacon around it tightly, starting at one end and spiraling down to the other end. Repeat this process for all mozzarella sticks.

      Set Up Breading Station: In three separate bowls, place flour in the first bowl. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.

        Bread the Sticks: Dip each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick into the flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Repeat for all sticks.

          Fry the Sticks: In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the breaded mozzarella sticks in batches, cooking for about 3-4 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese begins to ooze out. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.
