Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes, until the onion is translucent and soft.

Add Tomatoes and Broth: Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices) and beef broth. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 5 minutes to blend the flavors.

Make it Creamy: Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream along with the Italian seasoning and smoked paprika. Mix well and let it simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

Add Cheese: Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese to the skillet, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Pasta: Gently fold in the cooked bowtie pasta into the creamy beef mixture until well combined. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.

Serve: Portion the cheesy beef and bowtie pasta into bowls or on plates. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy a warm, comforting meal perfect for family nights!
