Ingredients

1 box of white cake mix (plus ingredients required to make the cake)

1 cup cherry limeade (homemade or store-bought)

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cup cherry pie filling

1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)

Zest of 1 lime

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

Fresh cherries and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Prepare the Cake: In a large mixing bowl, prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Make the Poke Holes: Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon or a skewer to poke deep holes evenly across the cake (about every 1 to 2 inches).

Create the Limeade Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix together the cherry limeade and sweetened condensed milk until fully combined. Pour this mixture over the poke holes in the warm cake, allowing it to seep in completely.

Layer the Cherry Filling: Drop spoonfuls of the cherry pie filling over the top of the cake. Use a spatula to gently spread it out evenly, taking care not to disturb the poke holes.

Prepare the Whipped Topping: In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and lime juice, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

Frost the Cake: Spread the whipped topping over the cherry pie filling layer on the cake. Use a spatula to create swirls for a decorative finish.

Garnish: Sprinkle lime zest over the top and arrange fresh cherries and lime slices for garnish if desired.

Chill: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy the refreshing taste of cherry limeade!
