Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

4 cups green cabbage, shredded

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup carrots, julienned

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch fresh ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken breasts with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Prepare the Stir-Fry Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Set aside.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add the shredded cabbage, bell pepper, and carrots. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.

Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the chicken to the skillet. Pour the prepared stir-fry sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Mix everything well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
