Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Zest and juice of 1 orange

Zest and juice of 1 lime

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 inch piece of ginger, grated

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and sesame oil. Whisk until the honey is fully dissolved.

Add in the zest and juice of the orange and lime, mixing well to combine all the citrus flavors.

Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly blended.

Place your chicken pieces in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring the chicken is well-coated.

Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for a deeper flavor.

When ready to stir fry, remove chicken from the marinade (reserving the marinade) and cook in a hot skillet or wok for about 5-7 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden brown.

Add your favorite vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots) to the pan, pouring the reserved marinade over them and stir frying for an additional 3-5 minutes, until vegetables are tender yet crisp.

Serve the stir-fried chicken and vegetables hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
