Ingredients

2 cups water

2 tablespoons dried black tea leaves (or 2 black tea bags)

1 cup fresh blackberries

1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (to taste)

4-5 fresh sage leaves

1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)

Ice cubes

Extra blackberries and sage leaves for garnish

Instructions

Brew the Tea: In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea leaves or tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain and let the tea cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Blackberry Sage Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the blackberries, honey (or agave syrup), and sage leaves. Add 1 cup of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Mash the blackberries gently with a fork to release their juices. Simmer for about 10 minutes, then strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Set aside to cool.

Combine the Ingredients: In a large glass, fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour in the cooled black tea, followed by the blackberry sage syrup. Stir well to combine.

Add the Milk: Gently pour the milk on top of the tea mixture. You can stir it in or leave it layered for a beautiful presentation.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish your iced tea latte with additional blackberries and fresh sage leaves. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing flavors!
