2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped nuts (optional, such as walnuts or pecans)

1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)

Instructions
 

Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make removal easier.

    In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir consistently until the mixture is melted and smooth, about 5-7 minutes.

      Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. If using, fold in the nuts and mini marshmallows until evenly distributed.

        Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

          Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.

            Once set, lift the fudge out of the baking dish using the edges of the parchment paper. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!
