Ingredients

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup crushed pretzels (for a salty crunch)

1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional, for sprinkling)

Red and green sprinkles (for festive decoration)

12 mini cupcake liners

Instructions

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes in total.

Prepare the Cupcake Liners: Place the mini cupcake liners in a muffin tin. This will make it easier to transport and store the cups once they’re filled.

Create the Chocolate Shell: Using a spoon or a brush, coat the inside of each cupcake liner with a layer of melted dark chocolate, ensuring an even coverage at the bottom and up the sides. Allow the chocolate to set for about 10-15 minutes in the fridge.

Add the Caramel: Once the dark chocolate layer is firm, pour a spoonful of caramel sauce into each chocolate cup, filling it about halfway. If you want an extra surprise, drop a few crushed pretzels into the caramel to add texture.

Top with Milk Chocolate: Reheat the remaining melted chocolate if needed, then spoon milk chocolate over the caramel layer to seal the cups. Make sure all caramel is covered, and smooth the top with a spatula.

Chill and Decorate: Return the chocolate cups to the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until fully hardened. Once set, sprinkle with a little sea salt if desired and decorate with festive red and green sprinkles for a cheerful touch.

Serve: Carefully remove the chocolate cups from the muffin tin and enjoy! These festive treats can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
