Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup crushed graham cracker crumbs

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup toffee bits (or crushed toffee bars)

1 cup M&M's (red and green for the festive touch)

Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Make the Cookie Dough: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Eggs: Mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and graham cracker crumbs. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the Goodies: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, toffee bits, and M&M's. If using nuts, add them now too.

Scoop the Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.

Bake the Cookies: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers will look slightly underbaked; this is perfect as they'll continue to cook on the baking sheet after removal.

Cool and Decorate: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. You can optionally drizzle extra melted chocolate or sprinkle more M&M’s on top for an even more festive touch!

Enjoy: Once fully cooled, enjoy these delightful Christmas Crack Cookies with friends and family for the perfect holiday treat!
