Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup espresso brewed strong
  • 2 cups whole milk steamed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg freshly grated
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon dolce syrup homemade or store-bought
  • extra ground cinnamon for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg with 1/2 cup of water. Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes before removing it from heat to cool.
  • Brew 1 cup of strong espresso using your preferred method. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use a Moka pot or strong coffee as a substitute.
  • In a separate pot, steam 2 cups of whole milk until hot and frothy. If you have a milk frother, use it to create a velvety foam.
  • In a large cup or mug, combine the brewed espresso with the prepared cinnamon syrup, stirring well to mix. Slowly add the steamed milk, holding back the foam with a spoon to create a layered effect.
  • Top the latte with a generous dollop of whipped cream, then drizzle with extra cinnamon dolce syrup and sprinkle with ground cinnamon for garnish.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Cinnamon Dolce Latte!

Notes

Tip 1: Adjust the sweetness of the syrup by adding more or less brown sugar based on your preference.
Tip 2: You can make the cinnamon syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.
