1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

For Cinnamon Swirl:

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

For Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.

        Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.

          Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon swirl ingredients: brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and softened butter. Mix until it forms a paste.

            Layer in Pan: Pour half of the blondie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter. Pour the remaining blondie batter on top and use a knife or a skewer to swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter, creating a marbled effect.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to over-bake.

                Cool: Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

                  Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or powdered sugar if needed.

                    Glaze & Serve: Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the blondies. Cut into squares and serve.
