Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease it with non-stick spray.

Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Cut each triangle into 4 smaller pieces for easier handling.

Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In a medium bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. This will be your cinnamon sugar mixture.

Coat the Dough: Dip each piece of the dough into the melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.

Layer the Muffins: In the muffin tin, place a few pieces of the coated dough into each muffin cup. You can layer them up to fill about 2/3 full.

Combine for the Sticky Top: In another bowl, mix together the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and any remaining melted butter until well combined. Spoon this mixture evenly over each muffin cup filled with dough.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and cooked through.

Cool Slightly: Once baked, take the muffin tin out and let it cool for about 5 minutes before removing the muffins. This helps them hold their shape.

Make the Cream Cheese Drizzle: While the muffins cool, whisk together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk in a small bowl until smooth.

Drizzle Over Muffins: Once muffins are slightly cooled, drizzle the cream cheese frosting over the top of each muffin using a small spatula or a piping bag.

Serve: Enjoy your warm Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread Muffins while they’re fresh! Perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat.
