Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

1 cup brie cheese, chopped into small pieces

1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish (optional)

Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Puff Pastry: Lightly flour your countertop. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to smooth it out and create a larger rectangle.

Spread the Filling: Evenly spread the cranberry sauce over the entire surface of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

Add Cheese and Nuts: Distribute the chopped brie evenly on top of the cranberry sauce. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans for added crunch.

Roll It Up: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the pastry into a tight log. Make sure the filling is tucked inside as you roll.

Slice the Swirls: Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces. Arrange these swirls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.

Egg Wash: Brush the tops of each swirl with the beaten egg to give them a lovely golden color while baking.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. If desired, garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme leaves for an added touch. Serve warm and enjoy!
